Here We Go Steelers!!!!

Now admittedly I am not a big fan of football. Don't get me wrong, I want the Steelers to do well and like finding out that the score and all that, but I don't actually sit and watch a game until we get to the playoffs.

My father on the other hand, truly did bleed Black and Gold. I think he questioned my DNA many a times due to the fact that we differed a bit in this area (thank goodness Lost came along for bonding!) and after he passed away I swore I would watch them faithfully!

Luckily my brother is just as pyschotic about our Stillers to carry on the Smith football traditions (yes I was a Smith before!) and live and die by the Steelers.

My dad and the Westinghouse crew back in the 70s. He's the clean shaven one on the bottom row on last one on the left.

So this post is in honor of the AFC Championship and the fact that we are gonna kick some butt, this is Steelers weather that we are having after all!

I'm the same way...DH is a Steeler fan from the early 70's, myself I'd rather go somewhere to watch the game but since we got the flat screen 42" tv he wants to stay home and watch:0

Pity my son, Michael he lives in Annapolis, Maryland but has found a tavern that is all Steeler fans so him and Corrie go there when the Steeler game isn't shown on their TV.
Have a wonderful day and Go Steelers!!!

Hello-I have to live with Eagles fans. My hubby was born out near Philly-so today ought to be interesting. I would like to see both teams win. I myself am a Palumolu fan. LOL. I love to drive the guys crazy in my house. Have a good day and GO STEELERS!!!!

I don't get into football that much--however, my hubby and sons do...needless to say, hubby is glued to the tv right now.

Nevertheless, being from W PA--whether you like watching football or not--you gotta be a Steelers' fan! GO STEELERS!

Hi, What a sweet post!!
I always say... I dont watch football. I watch STEELER FOOTBALL!!! :) LOL!!
I just cant get into it unless my boys in black & gold are on the field!!! :) When it comes to them I am an obsessed fan!! And will defend them to my last breath!! :)
I LOVE Ben!! I have pateintly waited for us to get a QB that could lead the team to the SB. And that boy sure can!! He has overcome so much and just keeps coming back for more.
I have watched the team suffer through Bubby Brister, Neil O'Donnell, Mike Tomzak, Kordell Stewart, & Tommy Maddox. I never cared for Neil at all. Mike was a good back up QB but couldnt handle an entire game. Kordell he shouldve stayed "slash". And Tommy, I liked him. I thought he couldve been the one. Until he caught hurt which brought in Big Ben. Then I realized, No, Ben IS the ONE!!!
I cant wait for the Super Bowl!!! Just hope everyone healthy so we can play our best. Because no one can beat us if that happens!!
Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go!!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog!! ~Tammy

I really liked this post. I grew up an hour east of Cleveland so we always were Browns fans..that is except my brother. When he was little he adored the "Steel Curtain" Steelers..Bradshaw, Harris, Swann, Bleir, Stallworth all them guys. One day, he received a letter in the mail from Terry Bradshaw along with and autographed pic of him and a team pic....he was in about 3rd grade. My mom couldn't wait till he got home she took it up to the school and his teacher let my mom give it to him in front of his whole class. He was on cloud nine for sure!
Thanks for letting me go on about a memory I hadn't thought of in awhile!
Have a great day!
